Probably not, though. I was a starving Seminary student then – and you have a very bad copy of the funny book pic. Anyway, I am fatter and have, get this, Joe, a goatee.
I have been very careful not to post a picture. I just thought it would be a let down for everybody’s imagination.
Aww, c’mon Art. We can barely see that picture. Give us a picture of you now with your goatee. Your public deserves to see the real you.
I have this great fear of getting to Greensboro and walking up to someone to ask something like, excuse me, but do you know where (fill in the blank) is? Getting an answer and heading that direction.
Then having someone say, do you know who you were just talking to?
Um, no, some guy with a goatee.
That was Art Rogers!
No way, where’d he go. Man, I missed the chance to say a proper hello.
So that is why I think everyone needs to post their photos. So I can give everyone the appropriate welcome when I meet them (or run in the opposite direction as the case may be).
I can relate to the “fatter” part. I just updated the ten-year-old head shot of me on our church website with one taken last week. Somebody slipped me an extra chin…
This is soooooo funny!! I’m the “Bonnie” listed under the pic-Art’s better half. I never do the blog thing, but when I saw this I fell on the floor laughing! Just what I needed after teaching the last week of middle school. Thanks Kevin. You all keep getting him. It’s good entertainment for all of us.
Is that a moustache?
Dear Brother Kevin,
Erol Flynn is Arthur’s maternal great grand uncle.
Love in Christ,
Jeff
Joe,
It was a moustache – kind of.
Jeff,
Maybe so.
Kevin,
I might just kill you.

I still may kill you, though.
