I have no problem with making money. I wish I made more. But why not have Ron Blue, someone from Crown Ministries or for that matter Henry Blackaby to talk about what God wants? I don’t understand this religion. That is what it is– a false religion.
What do you think?

When Howard Dayton has his own reality series, maybe he and Crown Financial Ministries will make it onto TBN.
Actually maybe this is the start of Trump’s downfall – what do you think?
Paula has two things working in her favor: 1) People are desperately looking for answers, and 2) The Bible is true: a fool and his money are soon parted.
I have no problem with people making money. It is my job to help people make money. I lead conferences for churches and groups on how to make more money, and do it according to Scripture. But this stuff Paula is teaching has no real basis in Scripture. One of the things I have learned to face is that some, if not many, of the people who attend my seminars (which are free, by the way), walk away saddened because they did not learn how to get rich quick. There is nothing new under the sun, and accumulating wealth has never been easy for most people, and it never will be. I am working against the popular notion in this, because people have been trained by all the get rich quick schemers, many of whom are pretending to be Christian evangelists, that they can have it all, right now. It is a tough row to hoe.
I guess I am out of that loop. I don’t know who Paula White is. I gather, from the comments, that finding out is probably not worth the investigation.
To say this is a false religion just because Donald Trump is a guest and there is talk about money is a bit of a stretch. I don’t know if Trump is a Christian, at least from your blog, but you never know, maybe the guy is on the verge of getting saved. And it may help that Christians like Paula are bridging the gap and not judging the guy.
Roy,
Thanks for stopping by. I’m not saying it is a false religion because of Donald Trump. It is because of the false teaching–”PROSPERITY GOSPEL!” What Paula, Creflo Dollar and many of these TV preachers teach is heresy. Jesus never promised that we would be rich.
I think Paula’s testimony is powerful. But she has gone the way of the world. She is teaching that if you trust in God you will be rich. That is not Biblical.
I don’t know if it’s as black and white as that– even Kenneth Copeland teaches prosperity not as money but as wholeness. God’s not out to make everybody rich, but there are those who get hold of a faith and abundance teaching and help the Body in amazing ways by giving to the poor, helping ministries in major way. There is a spiritual gift to giving. I like your blog, by the way.
First of all, the promise of prosperty is in the Bible over and over again. However, there are conditions to these promises.
Secondly, prosperity does not only pertain to wealth. The fact that God assures us to be prosperous in all that we do according to his will as long as we follow his instructions is wonderful. One example is Hebrew 6:12;That ye be not slothful, butfollowers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.Another is Deuteronomy 29:9 Keep therefore the words of this convenant and ye shall prosper in all that ye do. The list goes on and on. PRAISE GOD.
God will prosper us according to our spiritual maturity. If we are not ready, it could destroy us. lll John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper even as thy soul prospereth.
I think God is a lot more concerned with making us holy rather than making us rich. More concerned with making us into the image of His Son, rather than into the image of wealthy televangelists. Making our souls prosper rather than just our bank book fat. Blessing us with every spirtual blessing, not just with every earthly one. I’m not saying that God doesn’t bless us financially at times … but I believe His true and deepest blessings are much more eternally minded than earthly minded.
Just watched the show; read all your comments. If Paula is saying “this is the gospel” then it’s heretical teaching. If it is a “cross-over” attempt, then the question must be asked: “crossing over” to what exactly?
Surely at this time of world danger; unprecidented poverty and unemaginable wealth we need to be getting our eyes off this world system altogether and seeking to be intimately and increasinlgy “conformed to the image of Christ2 that HIS life might live through us. On the show, Paula said she would like to be rivh enough so when a missionbary comes to her church, she ncan siunmply pay his or her way. In the Ealy Church, however, the early, (persecuted) beleivers gave out of their lack, and the Gospel was peached more effectively, with greater cvonviction than almist anywhere in Britain (I speak of where I know).
This type of heretical teaching is multiplying, and is very concerning. It hits to the root of Protestantism, which seems to revel in divisions, a selfish spirituality and an almost total lack of what the true church community really is comprised of. As a non-Roman Catholiv, I can none-the-less thank God for the increasing faithfulness of the Roamn Catholic Church, and ireonically (given it’s past!) its increasing focus on “the dialogue of conversion”, and it’s self awareness fo being a mystical, called out, santifying – and sacremental – presence in the world.
On which note I’ll end.. next time, bring on Ophrah Winfrey, (who preaches more “gosepel” on her show than Paula did on this particular slot) a RC cardinal or two and get into some serious dialgue and discussoon with maybe getting ball rolling by discussuing let’s say, “compassion”.
Thanks for you insight.
I watched in amazement, have watched Paula for several years now, and recieved some good teaching, but lately I am afraid of the direction she is taking, Yes Donald Trump could be hearing the gospel. but what is he teaching us, God is our source of anything including wealth, we don’t need Trump to teach his the ways the world gets money, wake up Paula, your getting scary here.
THE BIBLE IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY ON ISSUES OF LIFE,INCLUDING MONEY.ENOUGH SAID!
All,
Donald Trump is no dummy. If there is money to be made, he is in the mix. This is his poor attempt at tapping into a new market, Christianity. And he has found the platform in Paula White. Let’s hope she see’s the light and turns away. More than this lets pray that the believers who have been subjected to this rhetoric discern the truth.
Well, if there’s a buck to be made ….
Speaking of Kenneth Copeland (from Roy’s post) and others who preach the gospel of prosperity & gifts, this clip of Rev. Copeland & Rev. Kenneth Hagin really makes a person think.
Here is the problem about all of this and I apologize for being so late on this topic. But Christ has already told in his statements in the Bible that “The poor you will have always.” Meaning, for whatever reason there will always be a segment of society, for good or bad, believer or non believer that will be poor. This is the real story many just simply wish to ignore. Making money requires hard work, sweat, sacrifice, and commitment. This is how it works. There is nothing wrong with making money, being wealthy, but to be fair, most people get freaked out about being rich, they goof, they fall, they stumble and that’s just life and personal choices. But these preachers like Paula are a good example of twisting what is free (salvation) and turning it into a den of greed. This is the problem with these nutwings.
They think everybody can become wealthy by giving back to God when in actuality for some the hopes of becoming wealthy will only be a dream due to personal choices, desire, amibition. Can we be wealthy – yes, but will all of us become wealthy? No. Why? Personal direction and personal placement in life. Not everyone grew up rich, such in the case as Paula. Most dont’ know this, but PAULA grew up in a millionaires household, never had a need in her life that her father and mother could not provide. Not everybody has that advantage due to life situations. Some folks in the inner streets can’t and never will afford a luxery vacation home or travel abroad or live in a mansion, some will through hard work and dedication or want for a better life. But these people sell false ideals, they prey on the weak and those that have lost all hope in life. It’s easy to sell water to a man dying from dehydration, the man has an immediate need and they provide an immediate solution but they never FIX the problem! it’s always a bandage to the real issue at hand. This is the problem with TBN and Paula White.
Yes, but poverty is relative. I grew up “poor”, but that was by the standards of Australia. Compared to millions in the Third World, I was a privileged billionaire.
Well, just learned who Paula White is. My first impression was that she’s made of plastic. Second impression, that she boasts of her “good deeds” and that’s always a turn-off. Third- “You, too, can become rich- just set up a ministry like mine!” UGH.
what is the right way for my financial problems.
Hey everyone,
I believe what Paula White is doing is awesome. won’t you love to come to the house of God to learn how to be victorious in every aspect of your life, a lot of us go to the banks and seek financial advise from agencies and it’s has not been working. check this, God said my people PERISH for the lack of knowledge, not the lack of anointing or not that they aren’t holy enough but because they refused knowledge.
Poverty is a curse. they are so many children who will not receive the education they deserve, not because God doesn’t want them to achieve but because we lack knowledge on how to turn our lives around. God does want us blessed and that means in everything possible way.(including financially)
starstair,
With all do respect, the gospel she teaches is not Scriptual. Jesus never promised wealth. Also, who wants to learn from a “life coach” that can’t make the most important relationship next to God work. She should do whatever it takes to save her marriage.

I believe in redemption and allowing our brothers and sisters to grow as God directs them in His time. I don’t know WHY Paula is going through a divorce, but I do pray she will put as much effort into saving that relationship as she puts into her ministry. Maybe she has done that. I honestly don’t know. None of us on this blog knows what’s in her heart.
It’s been years since I watched Paula on TV, but I do recall her preaching style and content. Like many within her circle (Copeland, Dollar, Hinn) it’s a selfish doctrine that is focused on how God can benefit ME. How God will heal ME, bless ME, restore ME, prosper ME.
Jesus didn’t say being healthy and wealthy was bad, but He spoke of the cancer it can become to us. It tends to make us focus on ME. Jesus wanted us to die to ourselves. How can we pray that God will make us prosper when we’ve really died to ourselves? We’re no longer concerned with ourselves. We’re to love who God made us, but not to be IN LOVE with ourself.
Isn’t that what Satan tempted Jesus with? Selfishness? Self-centered enrichment? Satans doesn’t say “don’t worship God”, he says “worship yourself”. If he can get you to do that, then he doesn’t need to worry about you worshiping God.
