In time for the Lenten season, the Kentucky-based company has introduced the Fish Snacker, made of Alaskan Pollack, tartar sauce and a sesame bun. It costs 99 cents.
KFC, a unit of Louisville-based Yum Brands Inc. (NYSE: YUM), said company President Gregg Dedrick has sent a letter to the Vatican asking for a papal blessing of the sandwich. According to a news release, the Vatican has confirmed receipt of the letter, but as of yet, no blessing has been bestowed.

Humm… I wonder if we can get a Nashville Vatican (Lifeway) blessing on Starbucks?

Does Starbucks practice total submersion (dunking) of the donut in the coffee or is pouring or sprinkling permitted? This may make a difference on the blessing.

Perhaps a Papal blessing might make Starbucks coffe a little more palatable?:)
Starbuck’s blessing is probably out of the questions, since Wade Burleson implied that drinking caffeine is a cardinal sin.
I think caffiene might prompt speaking in tongues. Or some other form of jittery babbling…
Yummy, yummy, yummy. What a clever stunt for publicity, for a sandwich that is likely overloaded with trans fats.
