[SF Gate]
A Blue Earth County jailer who hit a prisoner with a Bible in February has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor fifth-degree assault.
Read about it here.
[From me]
I just hope it wasn’t one of those huge family Bibles!
My pastor has done that to me on occasion (I’m serious)
What on earth is 5th grade assault??????????????
Sorry- I meant “degree”, not “grade”. Last night’s Jim Beam is still affecting me
How many of you out there want to hit ME over the head with a Bible? Come on – you know you want to!
Sorry Athiest,no. The Book of Mormon, maybe. But the Bible? Nope. We like you too much buddy.
Thanks
AAA, to quote “Saved,” one of my favorite movies, after Mary has a Bible thrown at her: “This is not a weapon!”
Actually, I saw a street preacher bang someone over the head with a Bible, back in 1972. A heckler abused the preacher as a “mangy old Bible-basher”, and said preacher proved to be as good as the heckler’s word. Ah, well, Jesus DID say that he had come to set people at variance with one another, didn’t he?
Can someone tell me what 5th degree assault is??
